Obituary of Ruth Marie Warnock

1935 - 2011

Ruth Marie Warnock passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord on November 19, 2011 in Cranbrook, B.C., at the age of 76.

Ruth was born in Wadena, Saskatchewan on June 15, 1935 the youngest of six children. She was married to the love of her life, George Warnock, for over 55 years. The love she so freely gave to family, friends and countless others is a gift we will treasure forever. Her laughter, her generosity and her zest for life were unquenched by the ravages of the disease she endured for the past year. Even when she could no longer speak, sing or give one of her hugs, she somehow spoke volumes with her eyes and radiated love with her countenance.

Ruth leaves behind her loving husband as well as seven children, sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is greatly missed by her children Linda Troxel (Brian), Karen Barron (Mike), Arlene McElroy (Joe), David Warnock (Julie), Sharon Routley (Warren), Paul Warnock and George Warnock (Tracy); grandchildren Nathan Troxel (Kate), Carmen Troxel, Tim Troxel, Ben Hellewell, Jolene Einarson (Keegan), Robin Hellewell, Dakota McElroy, Tangie McElroy, Aaron Warnock, Josh Warnock, Jeremy Warnock, Daniel Warnock, Zach Warnock, Jubal Routley, Barry Warnock, Hannah Warnock, and great-grandson Jude Einarson. Her precious grand-daughter Rebekah Routley passed away in August 2005. She was also predeceased by her parents Archie and Grace Gray (1964), her sister Sheila Gray (1970) and her brother Robert Gray (1990). She is survived by her brother Donald Gray, and her sisters Effie Paulson and Myrtle Niles.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Cranbrook Alliance Church. Those wishing to make donations in Ruth's memory may do so to the ALS Society of BC or the charity of your choice.
